I’m kind of mad at myself that I decided to take a year off this year for Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Have a look at the 2019 Princess Half Marathon Weekend medals including the Princess 5K medal, the Princess Enchanted 10K medal, the Princess Half Marathon medal, and the Fairy Tale Challenge medal!

2019 Princess Half Marathon Medals

It’s been an annual tradition to go to Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend with my girlfriends for the last 4 years. This year I said, “Hey, let’s try something new.” “Let’s go on a cruise,” I said. “It’ll be fun,” I said. Yeah, still no plans for 2019 with said group of friends.

Now runDisney finally decided to make some tough princess medals?? I’m all for crowns, but these medals rock! I even say they are better than the 2018 Princess Half Marathon medals. What do you think?

I think Ralph Breaks the Internet also helped open the door to look at princesses in a more modern way. I’m loving these!!

2019 Princess 5K Medal

This year Elena of Avalor is on the 2019 Princess 5K Medal. So this is the only one I’m lukewarm about. Elena of Avalor is my Latina princess. She’s pretty dang tough (and compassionate), but I don’t think this medal does her justice. It makes me sad, because I love her!

What do you think? Am I too sensitive?

2019 Princess 10K Medal

Ok, yeah. Mulan on the Disney Princess Enchanted 10K medal? Pretty stinking awesome. Now this princess looks tough, as she should. Mulan looks like the princess to beat in this race. I’d say Disney got this medal right.

Princess Aurora graces the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon medal. I even like this one, and Princess Aurora isn’t my favorite. But she looks like a runner (in a gown), so I’m giving it to runDisney for this one. I’d run 13.1 miles for this 2019 Princess Half Marathon medal.

2019 Disney Fairy Tale Challenge Medal

And for the grand prize – Jasmine on the 2019 Disney Fairy Tale Challenge Medal! This is the medal that’s making me salty I didn’t register for the 2019 Fairy Tale Challenge. Plus with the new live-action Aladdin coming out in 2019, I’m extra sad I’m not earning this medal. Yes, it’s 19.3 miles, but do you see Jasmine all bad-A looking flying on that carpet without Aladdin?? Girl power right there.

So yes, I’m regretting my decisions. But runDisney still has Princess Half Marathon bibs on If you need Fairy Tale Challenge bibs or other runDisney race bibs, then contact my favorite runDisney travel provider –Park & Preston Travel!

I love all of these, especially Jasmine! I hope the medals are as good next year when I run it for the first time. Seriously cannot wait and wish I could have done it this year!

I know! I'm regretting not running this year. But I'm sure the medals will be awesome next year, too!
