Who’s Your Favorite New Character from Toy Story 4?

We all have our favorites from the Toy Story movies, some have been with us for all 3 films. Are you Team Buzz or Team Woody? Well, get ready to fall in love with some new favorites! Meet the new characters from Toy Story 4 – Forky, Duke Caboom, Gabby Gabby, Benson, Giggle McDimples, and Ducky & Bunny. Now, I’m going to make you choose a favorite Toy Story 4 character. Cruel, I know.

Meet the New Characters from Toy Story 4

When we toured Pixar Studios in Emeryville, we saw pictures of the new characters from Toy Story 4, but we didn’t know much about them. As we saw some footage, I knew I loved Duke Caboom from the get-go, and that Gabby Gabby and Benson scared me.

Now after having seen Toy Story 4, my opinions changed. Knowing someone’s back story changes your point of view. That’s why I’m so thankful for Toy Story 4. You think the trailers have told you all you need to know, but you don’t know half the story. 

My family loves the new Toy Story 4 characters so much, we had to DisneyBound like them. Left to right is Duke Caboom, Bo Peep, Bunny, Gabby Gabby, Ducky, Giggle McDimples, and I went classic Buzz.

 

My Favorite Toy Story 4 Characters

Let’s do a challenge. Who do you think will be your favorite new Toy Story 4 character? Then after you watch the movie, I want to know if it changed.

Duke Caboom

Duke Caboom may be the Canuck with all the luck, and admittedly, I do love me some Keanu. Yes, he Canada, but someone else took the top spot away from him in my heart. Duke Caboom is hilarious and is a scene-stealer, but he also has a sad story, and I can’t wait for you to get to know him better.

Gabby Gabby and Benson

The power players in the antique store, Gabby Gabby and Benson are creepy, but perhaps misunderstood. I’ll let you decide. I’m happy they added more layers to this doll and her sidekick. Christina Hendricks does a wonderful job of making you feel one way or another about Gabby Gabby.

Forky

You all know Forky by now. Trash, but is he really trash? Forky takes center stage by being a toy Bonnie can’t live without, so Woody wants to save him at all costs. Lovable and hard on himself, aren’t we all like Forky, wondering where we fit in? Tony Hale gives Forky such a childlike quality, I wonder how many people will find themselves saving all their sporks. 

Ducky & Bunny

These two characters almost took the top spot, mostly because they remind me of my daughters. Coincidentally, they remind me of the two daughters that dressed like them.

They’re hilarious, snarky, love each other, fight with each other, are petty, and loyal. I’m talking about my kids and Ducky and Bunny. The banter between the two made me fall in love with them. Are they angry plush? They can be. To infinity and your mom may be the quote I hear in my house the most.

And the Winner is…Giggle McDimples

I didn’t know right away she was the winner. I knew that Giggle McDimples was an amazing bestie for Bo Peep. She’s happy, tough, loyal, a true friend, and has a kick-butt toy set.

Then The Geekly Show girls told me that I was Giggle McDimples, and I hadn’t realized it. Giggle tells it like it is. She’s Bo Peep’s Jiminy Cricket, and Jiminy Cricket is my all-time favorite Disney character. And let’s be honest, she’s a cop, so she likes a good power trip every once in awhile. Ally Maki’s voice and energy are infectious and you can’t help but smile whenever Giggle pops up on the screen. 

So, yes, if I have to choose a favorite new Toy Story 4 character, the winner is Giggle McDimples. Now I want to know which character you choose!
