Halloween is my favorite holiday and Great Wolf Lodge is one of of my family’s favorite destinations, so when you combine the two, you get a brilliant love child – Howl-o-Ween! If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate fall or Halloween, then look no further than Howl-o-Ween at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg. With Halloween decor, trick-or-treating, a nightly dance party, and activities for days for the whole family, this is one you won’t want to miss. Thanks so much to Great Wolf Lodge for inviting my family as their guests to experience this spooktacular event!
Howl-o-Ween at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg
We live in the Washington DC-ish area (Northern VA), and I was surprised how fast we were able to drive here. For some reason I remember it being a 4 hour drive from my childhood. Maybe my parents just drive slow, but with good traffic, we can make it in less than 3 hours. That’s a practically perfect road trip time for my family.
The minute you walk into the lobby at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg, you’re greeted by a giant spider and a fall/Halloween feel. I love it!! The decor adds to the excitement level, and my kids were pumped!
Great Wolf Lodge Howl-o-Ween Activities
Even when you enter your room, you’ll get some Howl-o-Ween decor surprises. It’s the little things that go a long way. If you’ve never stayed at Great Wolf Lodge, then you’re in for a treat! There are many themed rooms with bunk beds, and we had a loft for my large family that even had an upstairs. My whole family was thoroughly impressed.
Also in our room was a Howl-o-Ween activity guide. The guide informed guests of times for Yoga Trails, Spooky Walk, Trick-or-Treat trail, and a Monster Bash Dance Party in the lobby every night! Howl-o-Ween at Great Wolf Lodge occurs from October 1 to October 31, so you can get in on the fall action every day in October.
My girls had a howling good time following the Trick-or-Treat trail map through the hotel. Each stop was decorated and you could go back through as many times as you wanted. One of the best things about Great Wolf Lodge is that it’s a nut-free facility. Since I have a daughter who is allergic to peanuts, it was nice to know there would not be any peanuts in the candy.
More Fun at Great Wolf Lodge
In addition to all the fabulous Howl-o-Ween activities at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg, there was still more to do! We stayed for 2 nights, and we still couldn’t fit everything in. Check out more things to do at Great Wolf Lodge in this post like the enormous indoor water park (included in the price of your room), the arcade, MagiQuest, the rock wall, the ropes course, and the bowling alley.
My girls were in heaven during their manicure at Scooops. We even saw another adult guest getting her nails done to match her Halloween costume for the evening.
I can’t recommend Howl-o-Ween enough for families, especially if you’re Halloween fans. There isn’t anything too spooky and no tricks, just treats! Even the characters like Wiley and Violet are dressed up in their Halloween costumes to take pictures with your little ones.
