The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa got a glow-up, and they are beautiful! With touches of Mary Poppins, a warm color palette, and plenty of upgrades, guests and Disney Vacation Club Members are in for a treat. This photo tour and review of the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort can help you decide if this is where you and your family would like to stay for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Details
The existing Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa got reimagineered and then Disney also turned the hotel rooms in the Big Pine Key building into villas. They will offer Deluxe Studios, 1- and 2-Bedroom Villas, and 3-Bedroom Grand Villas
When talking with Shawn, one of the Disney Imagineers, he said part of the detail is bringing the garden feeling in combined with the Victorian feeling of the exterior of the Grand. They added a lighter, brighter color palette, and the entry way and lobby has garden elements, too. He says the main goal for the renovations was to brighten the rooms and bring that feeling of the exterior to the interior. We’ll continue to see these improvements at the Grand Floridian and the Walt Disney World Resort over the next couple of years.
Resort Studios at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
These all-new Studios sleep up to 5 Guests, with 2 queen-size beds and a day bed/pull-out sofa. Resort Studios also feature a flat-screen TV, a beverage center with a beverage cooler and coffee maker, and a gleaming bathroom with marble tile floors and a combo bath/shower.
The coffee makers are Keurig machines and there’s a small fridge below it.
Will the Resort Studio Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa have microwaves in the room? I asked a DVC representative there and he said as far as he knew, no. However, microwaves are available upon request at check-in.
The Disney Vacation Club Website has updated the site to include microwaves in the Deluxe Studios.
Deluxe Studios and Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Each Deluxe Studio sleeps up to 5, and includes a new pull-down, queen-size bed that tucks away into the wall, in addition to a queen-size bed and a charming pull-down bunk-size bed that’s perfect for little ones. Deluxe Studios also have a full split bathroom with separate private areas, a flat-panel TV and a kitchenette with a wet bar, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
The bunk-size pull-down bed can fit a child comfortably, and I’ve even slept on one and I’m about 5’4. It wasn’t too bad, but I wouldn’t recommend it for adults.

1-Bedroom Villas can sleep up to 5, the 2-Bedroom Villas can accommodate up to 9 Guests, and the 3-Bedroom Villas can sleep up to 12.

My family and I are Disney Vacation Club Members. As a family of 7, we always stay in 2-Bedroom Villas. One of my favorite things about them are the tables and gathering places and this banquette is amazing!

Not to mention a full kitchen and washer and dryer are so helpful, even if you’re not an overpacker like me. Sometimes you get caught in the rain and it’s nice to be able to throw some clothes in while you’re at the parks.
Enjoy the new Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! And don’t forget to head to the Orlando Disney Outlets if you’re looking for souvenirs at a discount.
