The Yard Card industry is so happy. You help people celebrate milestones and special occasions for loved ones. Especially during this pandemic, we just needed to bring some joy while pivoting when the travel and movie industry has slowed down a bit. 

Yard Card Celebrations in Windermere, Florida

So what exactly is a yard card? I didn’t really know until my friend Patty set up her Springfield, VA Yard Card business. It’s a personalized greeting that can be customized to celebrate birthdays, holidays, graduations, new homes, new babies, retirement, well, pretty much anything! You can spell out messages with letters or with flair in different shapes, colors, characters, sports, etc. The letters are approximately 22 inches tall and definitely stand out!

I ordered a yard card for my daughter’s 16th birthday in 2020 from Patty. She adored it, and it made her day! She kept asking to start our own business, and I kept finding excuses not to do it

Well, then we moved to Winter Garden, Florida where jobs were scarce, and Morgan could no longer work at Target. Also, the pandemic also hit my industry pretty hard, and I also wanted a job that was going to make people happy. 

Then I thought of one of my most fun friends, Emille, who happened to live in Windermere, Florida and brought up the idea. She loved it, and immediately wanted to be a part of it, so Celebration Yard Cards was born! Of course our first sign was dedicated to Patty.

Emille and I met as planDisney panelists, and we instantly hit it off. We’re both a little extra which serves us well in this business, because then we can make the celebrations even bigger!
