The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Parents Guide

The Summer I Turned Pretty Parents Guide Season 3

Season 3 picks up over 3 years after the end of Season 2 of the Summer I Turned Pretty. Belly and Jeremiah are together and both attend Finch College. Jeremiah is a senior and Belly is a junior, and Conrad attends Stanford University. Belly is looking forward to another summer in Cousins, but life has a way of throwing you curveballs.

The drama has already started in episode 1. Parents need to know that Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty starts off with cheating scandals, sex, and profanity.

Age Rating: Why is The Summer I Turned Pretty Rated 16+?

The Summer I Turned Pretty is rated 16+, but it should be rated TV-MA due to profanity, sexual content, and alcohol use.

Language

There is quite a bit of language including uses of sh*t, a**hole, damn, bi*ch, and f*ck. There are also uses of Deity.

Sexual Content

While there is no explicit nudity in the first two episodes of Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, there is kissing, sex and partial nudity including shirtless males and females in their underwear. There are also sexual jokes and sexual innuendo that is not appropriate for kids under 16.

There is also a lot of cheating going on with different couples, and it all just feels icky. The main characters are in college now and so college life is shown including drinking.

Season 3 TSITP Age Rating

Is The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Appropriate for Kids Under 16?

There are inappropriate scenes for kids under 16 in Season 3 of TSITP. With the jump in time and the teens being older, it’s understandable. However, knowing that a large part of the demographic skews a bit younger, it would have been nice for some scenes to be toned down or left to the imagination.

I’m hoping the season gets better, because right now, it all feels like these characters have been through it and turned into terrible people. Only Conrad seems to have gotten his crap together. And that’s why we continue to be Team Connie Baby.
