The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Parents Guide

Belly’s love triangle continues with Jeremiah and Conrad. After Susannah’s death, things aren’t the same, and everyone seems to be struggling. Belly let down her volleyball team her relationship with both Jeremiah and Conrad is rocky at best.

When Conrad leaves college, Belly and Jeremiah track him down in Cousins, and find out their beach house is for sale by their aunt Julia. Julia and Susannah weren’t exactly the best of friends and Julia doesn’t have good memories of the house. The kids try to save the house though it seems like Julia and the boys’ father are fighting against it. Looks like they’ll have to get Laurel involved, even if it means getting in trouble for lying to her for days.

In the midst of all this, Belly still has feelings for both Jeremiah and Conrad. She’ll have to make a choice sometime.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Parents Guide

Is The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Appropriate for Kids Under 16?

You can expect to see characters making out, having sex, underage drinking and partying, and profanity used by some characters. To sum it up, The Summer I Turned Pretty is not kid friendly for kids under 13. Many tweens and teens will want to watch the show, especially if they’ve seen the first season.

The second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is more appropriate for teens than the first season. Parents should use discretion or screen a show first if they have questions about whether it’s appropriate for their kids.

While this season may be more kid friendly than the first season, there are still issues with lack of parental supervision as whole. I get the appeal of the show to teens – it’s escapism. Pretty people navigating tough problems, especially when dealing with death of a beloved family member. Everyone is hurting and dealing with grief in their own way.

The Summer I Turned Pretty will continue to entertain tweens and teens alike. But also, this season I’m Team Belly. Dump both of them I say.
