Wondering if Tall Girl 2 on Netflix is ok for kids? Rated TV-PG, Tall Girl 2 has some mature themes, but overall is a family-friendly and tween-friendly film. Jodi is back in this Tall Girl sequel and is still struggling with her confidence even with her new popularity. Here’s what parents need to know in this Tall Girl 2 Parents Guide.

Tall Girl 2 Parents Guide
Jodi Kreyman (Ava Michelle) finally has it all – a boyfriend, popularity, and the lead in the school musical. However, why do the voices in her head keep telling her she doesn’t deserve any of this. As Jodi tries to navigate this new life, some of her friends aren’t happy with some of her decisions, and those friendships may be at risk. Not to mention she’s terrified she’s going to flop at the school musical. Can she withstand all these pressures?
Why is Tall Girl 2 Rated TV-PG?
Tall Girl 2 is rated TV-PG for some mature content that may not be suitable for young kids.
Language
There is no profanity, but there is a use of “hell” and phrases of Deity including “oh my g-d.”
Mature Content
There is some kissing, but not too passionate.
Jodi struggles with anxiety and must deal with the pressures of high school and performing on stage.

Is Tall Girl 2 Appropriate For Kids Under 10?
I would recommend Tall Girl 2 for kids ages 10 and up. Younger kids, especially those with older siblings, would also be fine; it’s just a question if the material would interest them. Parents should be aware of dating talk and relationships as well as sensitivity towards those who suffer from anxiety in Tall Girl 2.
While there are fun moments in this sequel, the original is still better. The storyline and plot in the first one felt more relatable. However, the messages of confidence and how to overcome the voices in our heads that cause doubt and negativity are important for teens and tweens, especially now. And you get some more character development, but it still lacked cohesion. Surprisingly, it needed more drama. Or even take a page from High School Musical and add some more music and musical numbers since it centered around Jodi’s insecurities to perform.
Supporting characters like best friend Fareeda (Anjelika Washington) and Swedish exchange student Stig (Luke Eisner) keep it light and funny and makes Tall Girl 2 more enjoyable. They are kind and forgiving, which are rare qualities shown in teens in films these days. The plot may have been iffy, but I’d choose this over Euphoria for teens any day.
Tall Girl 2 is a Friday family night, pop some popcorn, and hang out on the couch type of film or even perfect for Galentine’s Day.
