In the wake of the recent pandemic, theme parks and resorts are closed, LEGOLAND included. According to LEGOLAND Operations, “LEGOLAND® Pirate Island Hotel will open on June 1, 2020.” You can also make new reservations for travel dates after June 1st for both LEGOLAND Hotel and LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel. Does this mean they’re planning a June 1st opening for LEGOLAND Florida, too?
LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel Opening
LEGOLAND® Pirate Island Hotel is the first LEGO® Pirate themed hotel in North America, and was supposed to open on April 17, 2020. However, once things shut down, then so did plans to open the new hotel.
When is LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel going to open in 2020? According to LEGOLAND Operations, LEGOLAND® Pirate Island Hotel will open on June 1, 2020. “LEGOLAND® Hotel will continue to operate within government guidelines for guests with existing reservations, and new reservations are now available for travel dates June 1 or later for both LEGOLAND® Pirate Island Hotel and LEGOLAND® Hotel. The new rooms and theming really do look incredible! When I showed my kids pictures, they immediately asked to book a trip.

The most up to date information on the website states “As the safety of our guests, their families and our employees remains our highest priority, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort’s Theme Park and Water Park will remain closed until further notice.” So no new opening date has been announced yet, but there have been rumors for a June 1st date opening of other Florida theme parks.
Would you visit LEGOLAND Hotels if the theme parks weren’t open yet? Hersheypark has been closed, but their Hersheypark Camping Resort has remained open for bookings, so you never know.
