It’s time to finish up my series of where to stay at Hersheypark and Hershey, PA with The Hotel Hershey. As part of the Sweet Welcome, Hershey invited me and other bloggers as their guests to discover more of what Hershey has to offer. During this trip we were able to tour The Hotel Hershey as well as dine at The Circular and get a Sweet Feet treatment at the Spa. If luxury and history are what you’re looking for, then you’ve come to the right place with this Hotel Hershey review.
As we headed to dine at The Circular, I heard the gasps of amazement when you walk into The Fountain Lobby. It has the feel of a Spanish Patio. One of the reasons I love The Hotel Hershey is the story behind it. Milton Hershey decided to build this great hotel on top of a hill during The Great Depression. Many thought he was crazy to pursue such a thing during this time. However, the hotel employed the town and thrived.
Rooms at The Hotel Hershey
I gave you a glimpse of the rooms at Hershey Lodge and Deluxe Cabins at Hersheypark Camping Resort. Now it’s time to take you on a tour of The Hotel Hershey. The rooms are a little smaller than the rooms at Hershey Lodge, but the decor has a more upscale feel. They are simple and elegant and make you feel like you’re part of another era.
Restaurants at The Hotel Hershey
We ate breakfast at The Circular, and it was one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever had. From an omelette station to pancakes and waffles to fruit to ham and other meats, they have you covered. A special shoutout goes out to the sticky buns.
The Circular comes from Milton Hershey’s desire to not have a restaurant with corners. He often dined alone while traveling and got stuck in corners. He didn’t want that to happen to anyone else, so what do you get? A main dining hall in a circular shape with no corners and gorgeous views.
While The Circular is The Hotel Hershey’s flagship restaurant, other dining options include Trevi 5 which features authentic Italian fare. Harvest serves American cuisine and Cocoa Beanery serves coffee and pastries (and hot chocolate!).
The Spa at The Hotel Hershey
You don’t have to walk far to get your relaxation on. Was The Spa one of my favorite parts of the entire trip? Yes. What mom doesn’t want to feel pampered?
I opted for the Sweet Feet pedicure. It’s 60 minutes of bliss and of course included chocolate! Even if you’re “just” getting a manicure or pedicure, you still get to change into a robe and use the other facilities in the spa like the Quiet Room and the Steam Room and Sauna.
Even the bathrooms are peaceful and tranquil, and should you forget something, there are hair products and toiletries for you to use.
If you’re feeling a little more social, then try out The Oasis restaurant and lounge, downstairs in the spa. I loved seeing how many groups of girlfriends and couples there were – all hanging out in robes. Now that’s relaxation. And check out the buffet!
Dessert anyone? I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I really like to eat, dessert especially, and Hershey knows how to do desserts.

The Hotel Hershey Review
For me, if I were bringing my family, then I would most likely opt for the Hersheypark Camping Resort, because we’re a large family. However if I was doing a girlfriend getaway or a mommy/daughter trip with one of my girls, then this would be my go-to resort. It’s definitely a splurge, but one that’s worth it if it’s in your budget. The architecture, the history, the grounds, and the views are stunning. When I walked in, I was whisked away to another time and place.
All of the 3 official properties in Hershey, PA offer something different for their guests yet have one thing in common – family. You are treated like family at each of the resorts. Learning more about what a philanthropist Milton Hershey was helped me understand why I feel like family here. He started The Milton Hershey School which is a private philanthropic boarding school (pre-K through 12) in Hershey and dedicated his time and money here. Currently the school serves more than 2,000 students and gives these children an opportunity for schooling that they may not have had. A portion of all proceeds from Hershey goes directly to the school. Now that’s something I can support.
Thanks for reading my Hotel Hershey review. Now, who wants to meet me at the spa?
