Covid testing requirements have changed for Disney Cruise Line where all guests are no longer tested at their cruise port. Now it is the guest’s responsibility to upload a negative Covid result prior to boarding the ships of Disney Cruise Line if they are not vaccinated. You can still be tested at the port for a fee, however, I’d rather know ahead of time whether I’m sailing. This is the cheapest option my family found to test for Covid on Disney Cruise Line.
ETA: Beginning Sept. 23, 2022 fully vaccinated guests will no longer be required to submit Covid-19 test results for cruises aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish and Disney Wonder. Covid testing will be dropped for vaccinated guests on the Disney Magic beginning Nov. 7, 2022.

Covid Testing Options For Disney Cruise Line
First, I recommend reading the Know Before You Go section on Disney Cruise Line for all Covid Testing Requirements. The requirements can change at any time, so it’s best to get the information straight from the source.
Beginning October 7, 2022, for sailings departing from Florida ports, Guests are no longer required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to sail. Guests who choose to provide proof of vaccination are exempt from testing requirements.
However, in order to sail and be approved prior to arriving at the port, all Guests (adults and children, regardless of age) must upload their proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results on the Safe Passage website by Inspire Diagnostics by midnight prior to their sailing.
Again, please check the Know Before You Go section on Disney Cruise Line’s website to get the latest requirements for your particular sailing.
Easiest Covid Testing Option for Disney Cruise Line
If you’re not concerned about price, then perhaps the easiest option is through Disney Cruise Line’s partner – Inspire Diagnostics. You login to your Safe Passage account and order the tests through there. It is recommended you order at least 4 days in advance, so the tests can arrive to your home in time to test.
Then you set up a time to do a proctored test over Zoom within 48 hours of your sailing (if you’re a vaccinated guest age 5 and older), and they’ll send the results directly to Safe Passage. Then you wait for the all clear to sail! The cost for the test through Inspire is $45 per person. Some people like it, because they email your results over instead of you having to upload them yourself. I’ve also heard that the all clear to sail comes more quickly this way.
Cheapest Covid Test Option for Disney Cruise Line
The cheapest option my family found to test for Covid was OnPoint testing, however, as of October 2022, it seems like their website is not longer working and appointments have been cancelled. I no longer recommend them.
With this option, you provided your own FDA authorized at-home Covid tests. Our insurance covered all of our tests, so they were free. You can also use the free ones from the government or purchase inexpensive ones from Costco, Amazon, Walgreens, etc.
When you went to their website, you paid $18.99 per person that needed to be tested or that needs a separate email of results. Then after you purchase, you could choose a date and time to be tested over Zoom.
Once your appointment time arrived, you’d get on the Zoom call with your party (we had a party of 7 so we needed two separate Zoom calls), and they’d proctor the test.
You would wait online on camera until the test results appeared. The call took about a total of 20 minutes. Then OnPoint would email you your results, you take a screenshot of the email or download the PDF and upload it into Safe Passage and wait for the all clear to sail!

I also know people who liked Emed to test. And now there’s another online proctored service called Azova. Before you could test at Walgreens and CVS using a NAAT test, but now they charge around $120 for travel testing.
If all else fails, you can still test around the port.
Good luck and bon voyage!
