The one where they all go back together…yeah I’m not tired of that joke, because it means there’s actually a Friends Reunion special happening! This is not a drill. HBO Max will launch in May 2020 and bring along the Friends Reunion Special and the entire Friends library. See ya, Netflix!
Friends Reunion to Appear on HBO Max in May 2020
The Friends special will be unscripted and feature all 6 of the original stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. Joining them also are the series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman. And it will be filmed where the series was filmed -on Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank! Hey, I’ve been there!
The Hollywood Reporter said the cast,who all negotiated together, will be paid between $2.5 million and $3 million for the special. The cast famously renegotiated their salaries together during the show’s original run to earn $1 million per episode.
Can I just say how much I love them and that they negotiated TOGETHER, so that they all got paid?? I’m not even mad they they’re making that much, because Friends has gotten me through some sleepness nights with babies and provided me laughs when I needed them. I still can’t walk by a cat without singing “Smelly Cat.”
They even announced the Friends Reunion TOGETHER! They all posted this pic on their Instagram at the same time. I stan this real life friendship hard. I don’t care what other stories you may have heard, but this is the one I choose to believe.

So my friends, let’s wait this out non-Netflix-Friends dry spell together together with our DVDs and DVR recordings until we get all 236 episodes of Friends on HBO Max in May 2020! And well played, HBO Max, well played.
