Feeling humiliated and determined to exact revenge, she convinces her friend Selina Dalton (Freida Pinto) to play the role of his ideal match. Soon, Mr. Malcolm wonders whether he’s found the perfect woman…or the perfect hoax.

Is Mr. Malcolm’s List Appropriate for Kids Under 10?
Mr. Malcolm’s List is pretty kid-friendly for those kids interested in period films. While the notion of the film is full of stereotypes, the diverse cast helps break some of the tropes. And the talented cast are what helps make the film worth watching. There’s some drama, some humor, and gorgeous costuming.
What is a little iffy is the plot and storyline. It feels forced at times. But it’s nice to watch a period drama that’s clean and not have to worry about questionable material for my teens.
Mr. Malcolm’s list has a talented and charming cast and is an entertaining romance for the family.
