Star Wars Celebration 2022 kicked off in Anaheim on May 26th with a bang! The Lucasfilm Studio Showcase Panel brought out tons of stars and surprises as well as many Star Wars announcements! The charming and stunning Yvette Nicole Brown hosted the panel and her energy is infectious. The crowd went wild after each announcement and after each surprise guest.
Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor walk out on on stage together to promote Obi-Wan Kenobi! This reunion has been a long time coming and this just pumped up fans for more!
Jon Favreau, Jon Watts, Christopher Ford announce a new show starring Jude Law called Star Wars Skeleton Crew. They say the timeline will be after Return of the Jedi, during Ahsoka/Mandalorian time. Four kids get lost on a journey in a Star Wars timeline and have to find their way home. It may be about kids, but it’s not for kids.
The amazing John Williams came out on stage to conduct the new theme song for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Then treats us to The Imperial March! I had chills watching a legend.
Harrison Ford (!!!!) makes everyone cry talking about how kind, warm, generous, and talented John Williams is on his 90th birthday.
Harrison Ford announces the new Indiana Jones movie will come out June 30th, 2023!
Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau announced that Ahsoka will debut in 2023 or whenever they finish, Dave Filoni joked. Hey, they’re working on it!
Lucasfilm announces the new Disney+ show Andor takes place 5 years before Rogue One. They’ve shot 12 episodes and will shoot 12 more! Diego Luna says you won’t recognize Cassian at the beginning of this series as he is very selfish. Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie, so this series has me especially excited.
