The Lost Husband was released On Demand earlier this year but has now appeared on Netflix for families to stream. Is The Lost Husband kid friendly? Rated PG-13, there are some heavy topics, but overall it’s like a Hallmark movie. If your kids like that genre, then The Lost Husband should be ok for older kids.

Mature Content
Topics such as death of a spouse and parent, bullying, car accidents, family secrets and romance are addressed. There are a couple of kisses between characters. Also phrases like “sleeping with” and “making cheese” are used to imply intercourse.
There is also one scene with a seance.

Is The Lost Husband Appropriate for Kids Under 12?
Overall, The Lost Husband is pretty tame compared to what is shown on TV. However this could be hard for kids who have lost a parent or have abandonment issues. I don’t think this movie was created as a family movie, and it will probably be too mature and not enough action for the tween crowd. I’d recommend The Lost Husband for kids 13 and older.
For adults, The Lost Husband is a solid attempt at a romance, but there’s nothing particularly new or fresh. It’s a sweet story about moving on and finding yourself. If you need a good comfort food type watch, then The Lost Husband will fit the bill.
