Parents Guide to ME TIME on Netflix

Wondering if ME TIME on Netflix is ok for kids? Me Time is a raunchy rated R buddy comedy that is not kid-friendly. The jokes fall flat and Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg seem to have lost some spark, because the film was not funny. Here’s what parents need to know in this Me Time Parents Guide.

Sonny (Kevin Hart) is a stay-at-home dad, supporting his career wife and needs some “me time.” Ever since he and his wife had children, Sonny has dedicated his time to the family. He receives an invitation to a birthday party for an old friend, Huck (Mark Wahlberg), in Moab, Utah for a wild weekend and everyone encourages him to go. Then the hijinks ensue.

Is Me Time Appropriate for Kids Under 16?

I wouldn’t recommend Me Time for kids under 17. You can expect to see you can expect to see some sex scenes and partial nudity, comedic violent scenes, alcohol and drug use, and profanity used by some of the characters. To sum it up, Me Time is not kid-friendly or appropriate for kids or tweens. Teens are iffy, depending if parents are comfortable with that kind of sexual material for their kids.

The one thing I did appreciate about Me Time was the reversal of roles where it’s typically the woman who is the stay-at-home mom who somewhat loses herself in the midst of caretaking for the children. There are a lot of stay-at-home dads, though whether I can’t say whether this depiction is accurate on what they would choose for me time.
