If you’re visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays, then bring your holiday cheer. The parks can get crowded, and it’s not a bad idea to take a rest day or at least an afternoon off. I recommend visiting these Disney Hotels for the best Christmas decorations in 2024!
Disney World Hotels With the Best Christmas Decorations
Visiting the Walt Disney World Hotels for the holidays and looking at Christmas decorations is a fun, free activity! Plus the impressive gingerbread creations they have at Disney Resorts are unreal! Which Disney hotels should you visit for holiday decor?
If you have your own car, most of the time they won’t allow you to park at a Disney resort hotel unless you have a dining reservation or are visiting a guest staying at the resort. This year they even have a big sign telling guests to park at Magic Kingdom if you want to see the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian.
With hotels on the monorail, you can ride the monorail from Magic Kingdom, the TTC, or you can walk from EPCOT for the BoardWalk area resorts.
Every Disney Resort hotel has a Christmas tree and holiday decorations, but some are a bit more impressive than others.
If you’re short on time and can only visit a few Disney Hotels for Christmas decorations for the wow effect then I recommend:
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
They don’t call it the Grand for nothing. The moment you walk in the door, there is a grand tree in the lobby to greet you along with other trees.
You have the world famous Grand Floridian Gingerbread House that has a wonderful aroma. They may pipe in the scent, but I’ll take it.
You can purchase gingerbread and other holiday snacks behind the house to bring home as souvenirs or gifts for loved ones. They even have their own gingerbread house kit for purchase.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is my top Disney Hotel for Christmas decorations!
It’s an elegant ambiance that is easily accessible from the monorail. Plus the Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants that isn’t terribly expensive for Disney prices.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
There’s just something about a cabin in the woods feel that makes you feel like winter and Christmas are here. That’s the ambiance at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. But it’s nice and cozy inside!
The tree is stunning, and the rustic look will make you feel at home, like you’re in a Hallmark Christmas movie.
There’s even a fireplace on the second level to solidify that Christmas feel.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is my favorite Disney World hotel in the EPCOT area for Christmas due to the Gingerbread carousel and the beautiful views outside. If you’re visiting EPCOT, then it’s a quick walk from International Gateway entrance/exit by the Skyliner.
It’s not quite as striking as a giant tree in the lobby, but it’s beautiful and moves like a carousel. I love the Jiminy Cricket themed horse.
They even have a stand to buy gingerbread and treats, so you don’t feel left out if you don’t hop on over to the Grand.
Disney Yacht Club Resort
If you’re at Beach Club, then walk next door to the Yacht Club to check out their holiday decor and train! I love the nautical vibes the Yacht Club serves.
This train and village are so cool. They even added a mini Beaches and Cream!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has another impressive lobby with a beautiful tree. They have a gingerbread giraffe, too, and boasts some of the best dining on Disney property.
You can also buy a giraffe gingerbread cookie in the evening or at the Mara earlier in the day.
It’s not as close to many parks as the other resorts, but if you’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, then hop on a bus and take a ride over.
It’s beautiful, and I love the African theming they have with some their decor. It feels different and exotic, and is one of my favorite resorts overall. Plus Boma has the best breakfast buffet on property.

You can find holiday decor and Christmas trees at all of the Disney World hotels, including the value and moderate resorts. These are just my 5 favorite resorts for holiday decor this year!
If you need some more Disney holiday activities, then try the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll or Olaf’s Scavenger Hunt in Epcot.
