Picture Day Ready with Invisalign® Treatment

This post was sponsored by the Invisalign® brand and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Picture Day. Those two words either strike fear in the hearts of many, cause anxiety, or are a source of joy for the confident and photogenic. I love that my 6th grader has the confidence she does, unafraid of being different. I know that some of that confidence comes from wearing Invisalign® aligners, as you can barely tell she has anything in her mouth. Here’s how we get picture day ready with Invisalign treatment, plus a quick hair tutorial with a curling wand.

Picture Day Ready With Invisalign Treatment

There are two days of the year when all of my girls request good hair for school – first day and picture day. When I posted pictures of my daughters on their first day of school, a lot of you asked how I do their hair, especially with so many girls. Well, the secret is, most of the time, they can do it themselves, or their older sisters help them. I’m more of a curling iron girl, but my older girls like the curling wand.

We’ll take care of the hair, and Invisalign treatment takes care of the smile.

Curling Wand Tutorial for Girls

So here’s how my daughter does it. We use a 1″- 1.5″ wand; it’s fatter at the bottom. First, take a piece of hair and wrap it around the curing wand. When you first take the piece of hair, it will be under the wand.

Hold the hair there for about 3 seconds. Then turn the curling wand so the top points down and gently drop the hair.

Continue to repeat around the entire head of hair. Gently run your fingers through the hair if it’s too curly. Lightly spray with finishing spray.

My daughters have a lot of hair, so it takes about 10 minutes to curl all of it.

Let’s Talk About that Smile

Hair is important to my girls, and so is their smile. Invisalign aligners lets tweens and teens transform their smile without compromise, so they can enjoy their favorite things while in treatment, like picture day. They’re virtually invisible, so my daughter feels confident to wear them in her pictures.

However, if your child is feeling self-conscious, they can take their Invisalign aligners out and put them in the case until pictures are over. As a parent, you can trust that Invisalign treatment works for teens. With over 20 years of innovation and over 7 million smiles transformed, Invisalign treatment can treat simple to complex cases.

Hi thanks for the info. We are starting my 11 year old in 2 months. She has quite a bit to fix and and overbite so the ortho said 36 months but I’m happy she has an Invisalign option after I myself had 6 years of metal. Soooo bad and painful. Had your girl had much pain? My daughter is really sensitive so I’m still a little nervous.
