D23 Expo will have an epic presentation that includes the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, featuring Disney CEO Bob Chapek. The event will once again honor those visionaries and artists who have made significant contributions to the Disney legacy. This year’s honorees include Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Patrick Dempsey, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, Ellen Pompeo, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.

10:35 a.m. – A video starts with Bob Chapek and Mickey Mouse welcoming fans to D23 Expo!
10:39 a.m. – Michael Scott, the Genie in Aladdin on Broadway, comes out to hype up the crowd and introduce more Broadway stars! They perform Disney classics!
10:45 a.m. Bob Chapek comes on stage for an introduction and to thank Disney fans.
10:53 a.m. – Bob Chapek says Avengers Campus will be expanding into the multiverse! More info coming during the Disney Parks panel.
Bob Chapek announced all D23 Gold Members will receive a mini Mickey statue replica that is in front of the Convention Center. He also announces everyone in the audience today will receive one!
Disney characters from all of Disney’s IP come out on stage!
Past Disney Legends in the audience stand up and are acknowledged.
Disney Ambassadors past and present are acknowledged.
11:12 a.m. Host Tamron Hall is announced and comes on stage!
The first Disney Legends Award is announced – Ellen Pompeo!
11:20 a.m. Rob’T Coltrin received the next Legends Award for Imagineering!
11:28 a.m. Patrick Dempsey receives his Disney Legends Award for Film and Television. He also talks about service and giving back.
11:32 Disney Legend Doris Hardoon receives her award for Imagineering.
11:38 Anthony Anderson is announced as the next Disney Legends recipient for Television. And he takes a selfie on stage with Bob Chapek and his award!
11:45 a.m. Tracee Ellis Ross receives her Disney Legends Award for Television! She talks about her role as being a joyous black woman on television.
11:50 a.m. Robert Price Foster is announced as the next recipient for his administration work. Without him, Walt Disney World wouldn’t have happened. His daughter comes on stage to receive his award. He died one week after finding out the information that he would be honored with the award.
11:55 a.m. Chris Montan receives his Disney Legend Award for music. He was instrumental in music for popular films like Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and Frozen.
12:01 p.m. Jonathan Groff, known as the voice of Kristoff in Frozen, receives his Disney Legend award for film & voice. He thanks his mom for letting him dress up as whoever he wanted to.
12:06 p.m. Kristen Bell receives her Disney Legends Award for film & voice. She apologizes to parents for having to listen to Frozen on a loop!
12:12 p.m. Josh Gad is next to receive his Disney Legend award!
12:20 Idina Menzel receives her Disney Legends Award and thanks her Frozen family! She ends by singing When You Wish Upon a Star, blowing everyone away!
12:26 p.m. Perhaps the most emotional Disney Legends award goes to Chadwick Boseman. His brother comes on the stage to receive his award and talks about how Chadwick was about honor.
