Season 3 of NatGeo’s Weird But True Premieres on Disney Plus on August 14th! This is such a fun and educational show for kids that is a great supplement for distance learning this year. My kids and I had the amazing opportunity to interview Weird But True hosts Carly and Charlie, and they couldn’t have been nicer. Find out some of their favorite weird but true facts as well as behind the scenes info on filming Weird But True on Disney Plus.

Weird But True Season 3 Premieres on Disney Plus
Host (and Producer and Writer) Charlie Engelman is back for Season 3 of Weird But True! New this season is his best friend Carly Ciarrocchi, who kids may recognize from Sprout’s Sunny Side Up show. This made the interview even more fun for my kid reporters, because they used to watch it when they were younger.
First of all, Charlie and Carly have incredible energy – not only during the interview, but also on the show. You can see their passion for teaching children about the world. When one of my friend Tessa’s kids from Mama’s Geeky asked Carly how she got the job, this was her response.
Carly: “This show is all my favorite things. It’s research, it’s meeting people, it’s dressing up in costumes and pretending to be different characters, and making arts and crafts. I’m like sign me up!”
Is Weird But True kid friendly? Yes!! If your kids are curious about the world, then National Geographic’s Weird But True will be perfect for them. I was shocked how much I learned from the episodes, especially about dinosaurs. I live by the Smithsonian museums for crying out loud.

So what can fans expect in Season 3? Charlie says they’ll cover all new topics if you’ve seen previous seasons. Episodes include topics such as Dinosaurs, Farming, National Parks, Scuba Diving, and more! Plus you’ll see Charlie and Carly turn in some pretty hilarious characters. And those crafts? Charlie says they are bigger and better!
