Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando are popular vacation destinations for all ages! With so many resorts and hotels in the area, how do you choose where to stay? My main deciding factors are price, location, and amenities. Most recently my family tried the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs before our Disney Cruise. With lots of beautiful room views, it’s less than a 5 minute walk to Disney Springs! Here is our Wyndham Lake Buena Vista review.
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Rooms
With a family of 7, we were able to fit in 2 connecting rooms at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. One had two queen beds and the other had 1 king bed. Next to the king bed was a chair that had a small pull-out bed. My 6-year-old quickly claimed that one. It was big enough for a small child.
We arrived late at night and check-in was a breeze.
Each room also includes a refrigerator, wi-fi, and a 37″ HDTV.
I found the rooms to be clean, nicely decorated, and with enough space for my family. This wasn’t my first trip to Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. I had stayed here for a Traveling Mom retreat, and I loved it so much, I wanted my family to form their own opinion to give us more options when we come to Orlando.
Why Stay at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
I’ve stayed in almost every Walt Disney World Resort hotel. I love being close to the action and the Disney theming. However, the price can be hefty when you’re comparing apples to apples. When I needed a budget Disney vacation, I would stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
However with a bigger family, that just doesn’t work anymore. For the same price or less, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista offers more amenities, some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on, and one of the best amenities ever – location to Disney Springs. You’re still close to the action.
There is so much to do at Disney Springs now, we spent all of our time there. We didn’t feel the need to visit the Disney Parks before our cruise. However if you are visiting for a Walt Disney World vacation, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista offers a complimentary shuttle to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
You can’t overlook a fabulous hotel pool! With small kids, having a zero-entry pool is crucial for me. Also, there’s a hidden Mickey by the waterfall that you can only see by swimming in the pool.
Did you also know you can trade Disney pins down by the pool? I love the extra touches that Wyndham Lake Buena Vista adds to make your stay even more magical.
Another cool perk is Airport Baggage Check-in. No need to lug your own bags to the airport if you’re flying on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United Airlines. Check your luggage from Wyndham Lake Buena Vista straight to your flight at the valet stand from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Character Breakfast
Want to roll out of bed and eat with Pluto and Goofy? Well good news, you can! Wyndham Lake Buena Vista offers a Character Breakfast on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. If you want more details on pricing, food, and character interaction, you can read my review of the Sunshine BreakfasTime with the Disney Characters.
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Offers FastPass+
Now the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista offers FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance! That’s a huge perk. Before it was only Walt Disney World Resort hotels that offered that benefit.
AND you get Extra Magic Hours at Walt Disney World theme parks as a guest of Wyndham Lake Buena Vista!
What You Need To Know – Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Review
My kids loved it! They’ve even asked to stay here again. There is no complimentary transportation to and from Orlando International Airport like Disney’s Magical Express, so you have to decide whether that’s a deal breaker. There is also a resort fee which tends to be the norm for the properties around Disney Springs and in the Orlando area.
The location is great, they offer great amenities, rooms are clean and inviting, and they also have a souvenir shop and place to grab food essentials. However, being so close to Disney Springs, I’d walk over to Earl of Sandwich every time and enjoy the numerous restaurants they have there.
If you haven’t been to Disney Springs lately, I definitely recommend walking over. It’s an experience in and of itself. My family will definitely be back! It’s hard to find resorts that fit my large family for a reasonable price, and Wyndham Lake Buena Vista has given us a new place to call home.

Magical Express or not, Even with Resort Fee, it's an incredible bargain on Disney Property.

I love the Disney Springs resorts. The price is always great and you still get the feeling that you are right in the middle of everything.

I completely agree! You still get the Disney magic but for a lower cost.
