I’m sharing #Tide in my life as part of a Tide sponsored series for Socialstars™
As the mother of 5 children, I do A LOT of laundry. If I don’t do at least a load a day, forget about it. I’m toast. Can we just talk about the worst laundry stains with kids? There are the three that drive me crazy, because I see them all the time – ketchup, mud/grass, and marker. Sometimes they can be stubborn stains, but luckily I found a product that works to help me get those stains out while still protecting clothes in the wash.
This is the sign that hangs on our laundry room. Hashtag truth. I don’t want to be one of those mom that freak out about every little spill on clothing. I can’t help myself sometimes. I like clothes. I like to buy my children clothes, and they like to receive them. I have all girls, and they all inherited my shopping tendencies. That being said, clothes are expensive and I need them to last.
I use Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs to get out the kids’ worst stains. It cleans and conditions in 1 step. Like all household products, keep out of reach of children. Before I used to have to soak clothes for awhile, but now I’ll throw in one pac for regular stains and two pacs for stains that make me cringe. Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs work with HE and standard washing machines.
Yes, my children like their chicken nuggets and french fries. So with that comes ketchup. Every.Time.
I threw the shirt in the laundry with my Tide pods that have 4 in 1 technology: detergent, stain remover, brightener, Downy Fabric Protect. Jackpot. Stain gone. Bam! That’s an extra $10 in a new shirt I can add to the vacation fund.
We’ve got a bunch of softball players in our family. So that means plenty of dirt/mud/grass stains between practices and games. I don’t need them to be completely spotless after washing them, but, wow, I was surprised that the Tide pods even removed an old pen mark along with the dirt.
Frankly I try to ban non-washable markers in my house. Somehow those markers find their way back in. I don’t know if those markers have inside help, but let me tell you, my kids find them. I swear markers reproduce.
Also my kids come home from school with markers and paint all over their clothes. I ask them if they got in an art war or something. They just roll their eyes and tell me they had art class. In my head I freak out and think, ‘but your new shirt, whyyyyy?’ But instead I play it cool, smile, and remember stains will come out. Repeat after me: stains will come out.
These weren’t washable markers that my daughter was using, and I was thrilled it came out so easily.
Now that I don’t have to soak, treat the stain, or offer sacrifices to the laundry bosses, I can chill out as a mom. In fact, I am a laundry boss princess. (I just like to be a princess whenever I can). I can let my kids be kids and not freak out on them. Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs offer the Tide clean I love, but now with Downy Fabric Protect. Hand-me-downs for life!
So what are the worst laundry stains for you? Are there stains that bring you to tears?
