A dear friend gave me a COCO movie poster she received from D23, because she knew how excited I was for this film! It was one of the most beautiful things I had seen. Then Disney Pixar released this new stunning COCO movie poster. The colors, the vibrance, the spirit…everything about it had me saying wow. And that COCO trailer had me in tears.
COCO Movie Trailer
I think this COCO trailer struck a nerve with me, because it was about finding your voice. I’ve been waiting for details for COCO to trickle out as time got closer for its release. I’ve been waiting to find out how it’s going to be different and tell a story about a culture I so desperately want shared. This trailer helped me feel that.
Music is a big part of my life. I grew up dancing, because whenever I heard music, my body would just move. The music from COCO gets me excited, it pumps me up, and it makes me empathize with a boy who just wants to play music.
Miguel also is led to the Land of the Dead. The photos from this part of the movie are beautiful.
Who wouldn’t want to reconnect with a loved one who passed away? Sometimes I wish I had one more day with my Abuela.
COCO opens in theaters November 22nd, right in time for Thanksgiving, when we celebrate with gratitude. I know amongst my list of greatest blessings is family. I can’t wait to see COCO in theaters!
