There are times when I don’t feel like running at.all. Then there are times when I’m on the race course, and the adrenaline is pumping where I’m thinking of which race I’m going to register for next. For Tuesdays on the Run this week, we’re talking dream races. What’s on your running bucket list as far as races are concerned?
I’m not going to mention any runDisney races here, because that would be soooo predictable. Not even Disneyland Paris Half Marathon. Nope, not even.
Marine Corps Marathon
I want to run a race that truly means something. The Marine Corps Marathon has always been on my bucket list. Now that I’ve completed a marathon, it doesn’t seem so out of sight now, especially with me moving back to the DC area. Men and women of the military sacrifice so much for us, I think this would be amazing to be surrounded by so much courage. I hear the ambiance is amazing and inspirational.
I ran through DC once during the Nike Women’s Half, and it was incredible. So peaceful in the morning. I don’t know when I’ll run Marine Corps, but it’s on my running bucket list.
The Honolulu Marathon
Hawaii is a dream anything. It’s such an exotic location, yes, I would run 26.2 miles just to visit. The Honolulu Marathon is beautiful, there’s no time limit, and you get medals and malasadas at the finish. I can be bribed with food. Can you imagine running all those miles by the ocean and that gorgeous scenery? I hear it’s an amazing race, so it’s on my list!
