This post is sponsored by Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort. As always, opinions are mine.
My children have never met a Disney Character Breakfast they didn’t like. I have eaten at every character breakfast in the Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts. What can I say? I like breakfast food. I was excited to try something new at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista across the street from Disney Springs. When I say across the street, it’s literally across the street.
I like food, I like Disney characters. Sounds like a winning combo to me. Let’s start with the details, and then get to the important stuff like if they serve Mickey Waffles.
Details
The Sunshine BreakfasTime Buffet with the Disney Characters is Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Lakeview Restaurant inside the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. The cost is $26.95 for adults and $12.95 for children ages 4 to 11. A la carte breakfast is not available during these hours in the Lakeview Restaurant. Other mornings are non-character days.
Food Selection
There was plenty of food! I really enjoyed the selection. If I’m going to get in the Disney spirit, I’m going to need a Mickey waffle for breakfast. Thank goodness they had them! There were waffles, french toast, eggs, quiche, chicken stuffed biscuits (try it, you’ll thank me later), fruit galore, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal, toast, pastries, an omelette station, BACON, sausage, biscuits, gravy. Seriously, I could not think of a breakfast food I couldn’t find. I’ll let these pictures speak for themselves.

Omelette Station
So my first plate was a little carb heavy. Don’t judge me. The staff here is wonderful, too. I asked if they had any hot chocolate, and they brought me the most delicious cup with whipped cream. I did not leave hungry!
Disney Characters
Goofy and Pluto make the rounds here. They rotate every half hour. These are not Times Square Disney character imposters. They legit come from Epcot, and they have special outfits reserved only for the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. You won’t find them anywhere else! Pretty cool, eh?
The thing I like best about this breakfast is that it’s calm. You get so much time with these characters. No one is rushing them to the next table or annoyed that you want to take selfies and autographs and group pictures and individual pictures.
I watched the characters interact with Guests, and they were dancing, playing peek-a-boo with babies, pulling up a chair, doing a conga line…the looks on the kids’ faces were priceless. Shoot, I was dancing with Goofy.
Would it be nice if there were a couple more Disney characters at this breakfast? Yes. Absolutely. One of the main reasons I go to Character Breakfasts is so I don’t have to wait in line to see them in the Disney Parks. Time is money. This breakfast is priced about $10-$14 less per adult and $6-10 less per child than Chef Mickey’s. So you are saving some dinero.
I would also recommend this breakfast as a tester for small children. Not all kids are in love with Disney characters. This is a great way to have them warm up to the characters, especially because they spend so much time with them here. It’s such a nice pace.
Also, this is great for a rest day. If you’re planning on doing some shopping at Disney Springs, grab some breakfast, dance with Disney characters, and then get your shopping on. It’s a practically perfect way to start and end your magical vacation!

I love the buffet! I am sucker for omelette stations too. Not all character breakfasts are created equal, but this looks great.
