When I found out that as part of the Cars 3 Event, we were going to walk the red carpet at the Cars 3 Premiere, I was in heaven! This was my first red carpet experience, and I didn’t know what to expect. What I got was plenty of fun, lots of laughs, tons of celebrity sightings, and the best after party ever. When your after party is in Cars Land in Disney California Adventure, then you’re already winning. Come take a walk with me through the Cars 3 Premiere red carpet and after party experience!
Cars 3 Premiere Red Carpet
The Cars 3 premiere was at the Anaheim Convention Center on June 10. You had to go through security and have a fancy credential lanyard. Then it was a casual walk through different photo ops like different signs with the cars from the movie. They also had Cruz Ramirez, Lightning McQueen, and Jackson Storm available.
As you continued down the carpet, paparazzi was on one side while the celebrities walked down a different section for their photos. They were also doing interviews on the carpet on a different side. This wasn’t really the time for celebrity selfies. They were working, so I admired from afar.
I soaked up the atmosphere on the red carpet. It was a relatively laid back experience where everyone (with a fancy lanyard) belonged. People were dressed in jeans and formal dresses. It felt like a party. My eyes were wide and a smile was permanently glued on my face as I continued into the theater to watch Cars 3 again. Oh and no phones inside!
Cars 3 Premiere After Party in Cars Land
After we watched Cars 3 (it was awesome the 2nd time, too!), they shuttled the guests in trams to the back entrance of Cars Land!
The energy of the whole night was electrifying! Cars Land at night is the best! It was so fun to see Stars riding rides and having a good time! Cars Land was closed off for the party and you could also ride different attractions in California Adventure. Our badge served as a FastPass, woot!
There was a D.J., stars were dancing, celebrities were very approachable and friendly for pictures. My friends got pictures with a bunch. I, however, was a little more timid in that department. I was two people behind Kevin Feige in line at the Cozy Cone, but he was with his children, and I always feel bad interrupting family time. A picture would have been a bonus, but unnecessary. However, I regret not telling him how much Marvel means to my family, especially having all girls! Super heroes are a big part of our lives. And I was going to lobby for a Marvel female super hero movie…😊
There were stars from the movie walking around. I passed Cristela Alonzo in line for Radiator Springs Racers! She was so sweet. I passed Bob Iger as I was leaving. There were Disney Channel stars, television stars, movie stars…all just wanting to celebrate and have a good time! Kerry Washington even spoke to me and remembered the question I asked in our interview earlier that day. Definitely a memory for the books!
I’m going to be a little sappy now, but for a regular mom of 5, I felt cool, beautiful, carefree, and happy. Disney has provided such incredible memories for my family, it was such an honor to be a part of the Cars 3 family for a day! Family is everything after all. Check out my Cars 3 review tomorrow!
Don’t forget to watch Cars 3 in theaters June 16th! You won’t want to miss this one!
Thank you, Disney, for inviting me to Anaheim for the Cars 3 Event and providing travel and accommodations. All opinions on the lack of my celebrity selfie skills are my own.
