Anyone who knows me knows that I have a big sweet tooth. Or teeth. Basically a whole mouth full. Dessert is always my favorite part of a meal. I also love to entertain and make holidays special. However, what I don’t have is all the time in the world. So sometimes I need to call in reinforcements for help. Enter Baskin-Robbins for the best holiday desserts you don’t have to make yourself.
Best Holiday Desserts
Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved Baskin-Robbins ice cream cakes. Every year for my birthday, I would ask my mom for a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate cake. I’ll order them for other occasions, too, like Father’s Day and Easter. You know, when I want to impress people with my mad skills that I don’t actually have.
When I heard about Baskin-Robbins holiday-themed desserts, my first thought was ALL THE PEPPERMINT!! I tolerate winter only for the peppermint desserts.
Peppermint & Winter OREO® Cookies Polar Pizza
Yup, I said it. Polar Pizza. Baskin-Robbins offers an ice cream pizza with a double fudge brownie crust with Peppermint ice cream, topped with Winter OREO® Cookie Pieces and drizzled with marshmallow and fudge topping. Happy dance time.
Ganache Poinsettia Cake
As much as I love that Polar Pizza, my favorite is the Baskin-Robbins Ganache Poinsettia Cake. I’m a cake girl, so I love that you get a good portion of cake with your ice cream. It’s an elegant 9” round ice cream cake with the simple sophistication of a poinsettia topped with Winter OREO®Cookies. I had to break out the fancy plates for this one, because it’s so pretty!
Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite ice cream, but it’s not my husband’s favorite, so in the spirit of the holidays I ordered him vanilla ice cream. You can customize your cake and ice cream flavors! I thought with the ganache, that it might be a little chocolate heavy, even for me. Nope, I was wrong. I could have gone Chocolate Chip or Rocky Road ice cream. Whatever flavor you choose, it’s beautiful, festive, and delicious!
Holidays are fun in our house. Sometimes we dress up fancy, sometimes we wear our pajamas. Whatever we decide, it’s all about memories. I want my kids to remember that mom let them have the big piece of cake, because it’s a special day! This ice cream cake is perfect for gatherings, too, because it feeds a lot of people. As a family of 7, trust me, I know.
Take the Stress Out of the Holidays
Ordering is simple online or in-store. I opted for easy online ordering at Baskin-Robbins’ website. You can customize your desserts, add a message to be written, or make notes for your order. Choose your pick-up time, and there you go! Done.
I get easily wooed by peppermint I tell ya, so we had to try December’s ice cream Flavor of the Month – Peppermint Bark in the Dark – when we went to pick up our treats. The lucky daughter who volunteered to go with me got to try, too. It’s heaven! Crunchy peppermint bark and Chocolate ice cream wrapped together with a peppermint candy and white chocolate flavored ribbon.
If you’re having a party or are invited to one, bring a special holiday ice-cream treat from Baskin-Robbins that will wow the crowd. Even if you just want a special dessert for family night or Christmas. Anything that cuts out some holiday stress and gives me more time with my family is a winner in my book.
