Back again for Tuesdays on the Run! Today’s topic: Your Dream Race Swag Bag.
Now, I’m a dreamer and can dream big, but I’m keeping this one a little more realistic. All I really want are the things I need for every race. I’m practical that way 😉
I know, I know, they pretty much hand them out at every race. But I still like mine, especially long-sleeve shirts, because I don’t have a lot of them I can use them for chillier runs, they’re light weight to take off and wrap around my waist if I get too hot on a run, or I can use it as a throwaway shirt to before a race when it’s colder.
I prefer nuun. It’s portable, the tablets are small, and I like the resealable tube. Plus it works! And it adds a little spice to my water.
For us injured folks. I need to spray that stuff all over my injured areas. I prefer the spray over the roll-on, because I think it lasts longer. My muscles thank you, Biofreeze.
Ever since my friend told me to slather Vaseline all over my feet, they’ve been blister free. I probably also need to credit my Balega socks and my Saucony Hurricanes, but not one blister during my marathon. And I was out there for a long time. I put it everywhere. I also like Body Glide, too, but Vaseline hasn’t let me down yet. Plus I can carry the little travel size in my pockets.
I’m naturally a hat girl anyway, but I love running in Headsweats visors. I especially dig the Sparkle Athletic ones for a little added bling. They’re comfortable, catch my sweat, and I don’t need sunglasses. I just can’t run in glasses. Or I haven’t found ones comfortable enough for me.
I would say Foam Roller, because I have to roll like it’s my job. But can that fit in a bag? So I chose a TriggerPoint T-Roller. I need something to roll out my muscles after a race. This is compact, feels amazing on your neck and arms, and is just plain cute.
BUT if I am dreaming big, well throw in a new pair of shoes, a free Disney Parks ticket, and some food, like a lot of food
What would you choose for your dream swag bag?
